Lisa Ardner is a MINT Certified Trainer and Member of the Motivational Interviewing Network Trainers (MINT) since 2018. She is a Master CASAC (Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor) with an M.A. in Adult Learning with an emphasis on Professional Development and Trauma for Healthcare Professionals. Lisa is a member of the CNY Motivational Interviewing Learning Collaborative and co-facilitates a monthly virtual MI Community of Practice Group. Lisa is an Advanced Trainer and Parent Coach for the Nurtured Heart Approach®. Lisa has been working in the field of behavioral healthcare for over a decade with a background in crisis intervention and suicide prevention for over a dozen years. Lisa has completed the train the trainer for Trauma 101, Cultural Competency through OASAS and is an approved trainer through OASAS and ASAPNYS (Alcohol and Substance Abuse Providers of NYS) on a variety of topics for both peer professionals and clinical staff in both behavioral and medical healthcare.
Lisa is currently working as a Therapist II at Crouse Addiction Treatment Services and is a member of the Crouse Health Human Trafficking Task Force and Crouse Professional Development Committee. Lisa specializes in trauma responsive training with a compassionate, engaging, and winsome teaching style. She brings these vast resources of knowledge and experience as well as her compassionate self to TVG trainings in both Motivational Interviewing and Trauma Informed Care.
