Jeremy Bedette is currently employed as a Location Monitoring Specialist by the United States Probation and Pretrial Services Office, where he has worked for over eleven years. Jeremy has attended Basic Motivational Interviewing (MI), Advanced MI, participated in Coding and Coaching and has reached MI proficiency as defined by the Motivational Interviewing Treatment Integrity (MITI) instrument. He is also a local and national STARR (Staff Training Aimed At Reducing Recidivism) coach for the Western District of NY. He takes a balanced approach to his work and is active in their search and surveillance teams, as well as their in-house employment team and Cognitive Behavioral Treatment (CBT) group.
In addition to his work with Federal Probation, Jeremy is an Adjunct Professor at Keuka College where he teaches classes in Community Corrections, The Judicial System, and Restorative Justice. He attended Niagara University, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice Administration. While at Niagara, Jeremy held many positions, including President of the Student Government Association, as well as a graduate assistant position with the Criminal Justice Department. Jeremy is excited to join TVG and share his balanced approach to the field of law enforcement and community corrections.
